Robert Taylor
AI, Knowledge and Organisational Learning Adviser
Robert Taylor helps organisations make better use of what they know: the expertise of their people, the experience embedded in their work, and the growing potential of AI. His background spans knowledge management, consulting, organisational learning, governance, information management and business transformation, including senior and advisory roles with major organisations such as BAE Systems, Deloitte, KPMG, Unisys and Systemiq.
His approach is practical, business-led and independent. He does not treat knowledge management as a separate activity or a technology project. He helps leaders think clearly about how knowledge, expertise, documentation, collaboration and AI need to work together to improve decision-making, reduce avoidable waste, retain critical know-how and build lasting organisational capability.
Robert is especially interested in helping organisations make AI their own by grounding it in trusted knowledge, expert judgement, appropriate governance and real patterns of work.
- KM applications across sales performance improvement, cost reduction, marketing planning, fraud loss reduction, lessons learned, key knowledge capture, and knowledge embedment in process
- Reviewing how well your organisation captures, shares, governs and reuses critical knowledge, and identifying practical improvements
- Designing KM strategies, operating models and governance arrangements that fit the organisation rather than creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- Helping leadership teams understand what AI changes — and what it does not — about knowledge, expertise, documentation and decision-making
- Advising on documentation strategies, knowledge bases, taxonomies and information architectures that support both people and AI systems
- Supporting knowledge retention, succession planning and capability building where critical expertise is at risk of being lost
- Running workshops with leadership teams, functions or communities of practice to improve knowledge flow, collaboration and learning
- Helping organisations connect AI strategy with expertise strategy, so AI outputs can be validated, refined and trusted by the people who know the work
- KM leadership and team member mentoring
